Salt is a mineral that is composed primarily of Sodium chloride. It is essential for animal life since Sodium and Chloride ions, the two major components of salt, are needed by all known living creatures. However, too much salt increases the risk of health problems. Therefore, consumers are advised to follow recommended limits of dietary sodium.

Your BOWMAN SALT is produced from the select quality raw salt, ensuring you the super white table salt in your kitchen. It is thoroughly Refined by multi stage mechanized washing, followed by moisture evaporation through steam heating and addition of permitted Anti Caking Agent (for Free flowing) and Potassium Iodate (for Iodine). Your BOWMAN SALT passes through strict inspection before reaching to your kitchen.

Low Sodium Salt
Excess sodium in the diet is linked to many health problems such as high blood pressure and several other linked ailments. Considering this very fact, Low Sodium Salt has been created. It is the same salt with 15% less Sodium content. However this is achieved by adding Potassium Chloride which is radio active due to K-40 content, which occurs in it naturally. Crystal Iodized Edible Salt
Crystal Iodized Edible Salt is Coarse Refined Edible Salt where particle sizes are 850 micron. Thoroughly washed and Iodized; it is fit for human consumption. Being uncrushed it is cheaper. This is generally supplied in bulk pack for loose sale at retails.

Deicing Salt (Road Salt)
Winter often means snow on roads and footpaths, posing dangers for traffic and pedestrians. Experience of several decades have shown that sodium chloride (NaCl) i.e. common salt is the most efficient and economical way to melt ice and secure traffic safety since Salt being an electrolyte has the property to lower the freezing point of water thus facilitating ice to melt. It is spread over the Ice clad roads by means of Snowplows or dump trucks. It is however effective only when the temperature is above -90 C (minus 90 Celsius). Our Deicing Salt is an inexpensive coarse salt which is thoroughly washed and cleaned and packed in bulk of 25kg PP bags or loaded directly on to the break bulk ships.
